Senior Strategic Analyst at Government of Alberta, Ministry of Energy
Alexandria Fisher has over 15 years of academic and career expertise in developing the business case for sustainability. Her more recent work has focused on using environmental, social, and governance (ESG) metrics to improve the performance of the energy industry and mitigate climate related financial risks. She currently serves as Senior Strategic Analyst with the Government of Alberta (Ministry of Energy), following roles as a Responsible Investment Analyst with the Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo), and an Associate with Canadian Business for Social Responsibility. Alexandria is a member of the MacEwan University Board of Governors and serves on the Audit and Investment Committees. In 2017, she was named one of Canada’s Top 40 Social Influencers in Finance, Innovation, and Risk by Thomson Reuters. She holds a Master of Science in Environment and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo.
